"As an Investment Management Firm, our primary motivation for implementing OASIS was to create a seamless fail-over system for our Internet access. Access redundancy is critical as we have become more dependent on the availability of the Internet including email, webcasts, ftp transfers and secure websites for accessing our business partners. Any access failure has a negative impact on employee productivity leading to increased costs and user frustration. We recently experienced an Internet T1 outage and with OASIS in place our Internet traffic automatically routed over our other three connections."

Asterisk is the Open Source PBX

Onlight can help you build your own multiprotocol PBX on Linux.

Asterisk is a complete PBX in software. Asterisk runs on a wide variety of operating systems including Linux, Mac OS X, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and Sun Solaris and provides everything you would expect from a PBX including many advanced features usually associated with high end (and high cost) proprietary PBX products.

The Asterisk architecture can interface with most telephony equipment using relatively inexpensive hardware, and the flexible design supports Voice over IP in many protocols.

Using the Inter-Asterisk eXchange (IAX) Voice over IP protocol, Asterisk merges voice and data traffic seamlessly across disparate networks. While using Packet Voice protocol, it can send data such as URL information and images in-line with voice traffic, allowing advanced integration of information.

Onlight provides a full range of Asterisk consulting and integration including:

  • Turn-key Asterisk PBX systems
  • High-availability and fail-over systems to match the reliability of commercial PBX hardware
  • Dial plan consulting to fit Asterisk into your unique business needs
  • Integration with existing PBX system

Asterisk Provides:

  • Voicemail services with Directory
  • Call Conferencing
  • Interactive Voice Response
  • Call Queuing

Asterisk Supports:

  • Three-way calling
  • Caller ID services
  • ADSI
  • SIP
  • H.323 (as both client and gateway)
  • A number of hardware devices
  • A wide range of TDM protocols for the handling and transmission of voice over traditional telephony interfaces

Asterisk is an Open Source program. Open Source Coders from around the world have contributed to the development and testing of this software. At Onlight we support and contribute to the Open Source community.
